Alex Grover

Alex Grover, a singer/actor and music educator, holds a B.A. in Music from Wheaton College (MA) and a M.M. in Music Education from Boston University. Alex is the full time Choral Director at Danvers High School (MA) where he leads the a cappella groups he created, Falconize, Ingrid Sound, and Deception. In 2017, Ingrid Sound represented the Northeast at the National A Cappella Convention High School competition in Memphis, Tennessee and in 2015, Falconize placed third at the ICHSA Finals in New York City. From 2009-2013 he founded and directed Salem High School's award-winning a cappella group WitchPitch? (ICHSA Finalists 2011-2013).  Alex's groups have made appearances on the Varsity Vocals Best of High School A Cappella compilations and have been nominated for Contemporary A Cappella Recording Awards.  He also is an adjudicator for the Varsity Vocals ICCA tournament. Alex was a four-year member and three-year director of his collegiate group the Wheaton College Gentlemen Callers (2005-2009).  In 2012 he co-founded an Alumni Union for the Gentlemen Callers and sits on the board of directors as Vice President. www.grovervocals.com

 

Jodi Jenkins Ainsworth

Jodi Jenkins Ainsworth is the soprano in Vox One, an award-winning a cappella jazz quintet from the Boston area that formed at Berklee College of Music. Vox One has performed internationally and has opened for Ray Charles, Chicago, the Persuasions, the Bobs, the Woody Herman Orchestra, and the Count Basie Orchestra. The group earns wide acclaim for their performances and CDs. As a studio singer Jodi has been heard commercially across the US in radio and television spots for TCBY, Sears, Mother's Cookies and Boston.com and has done international spots for Meiji Confectionary Company, JOMO, Sony and Sharp. Jodi has been teaching private voice for over 15 years and is currently on faculty as an Associate Professor in the Voice Department at Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA. She teaches all styles and vocal technique, but specializes in Gospel, R&B, and Jazz. Jodi enjoys working as a clinician/adjudicator with various vocal jazz and a cappella groups around the country and is also an active worship leader and pianist.

 

Amy Malkoff

Amy Malkoff is a founding member of the groups All About Buford and Deadline Poet, and she has appeared on stage and in the studio with such luminaries as Wayne Brady, Jonatha Brooke, The Persuasions, Ellis Paul, Vance Gilbert, GrooveLily, Patty Griffin, and Dar Williams. She has an AB in music from Kenyon College, with music studies at Youngstown State University and masters-level coursework at the New England Conservatory of Music. Amy serves on the core team and is the Media Director for WACA (Women's A Cappella Association) and is the Marketing Director for the A Cappella Education Association (AEA). She also served as Web Content Director for CASA (Contemporary A Cappella Society) and is a Certified Adjudicator for the International Championships of Collegiate and High School A Cappella. She is a frequent festival clinician/teacher and a cappella competition judge, and taught at the prestigious Swannanoa Gathering. Kate Elmendorf

is a recent graduate of Berklee College of Music with a Bachelors in Music Education and minor in drama, and was a founding member and three year board member of her collegiate group, Upper Structure, founded in 2015.  Kate lead Upper Structure as President to take home first place at Haunted Harmonies in 2016, first place at their Quarterfinal, second place at Semifinals, and second place in the Wildcard Round in this year's 2017 ICCA. Upper Structure is currently planning to release a full length album this coming Fall. Kate has also attended and competed in many a cappella festivals around the country including LAAF, VoiceJam, SoJam and BOSS and is looking forward to working with the rest of the Haunted Harmonies Team to continue to help groups grow, collaborate and make incredible memories.

Elliott von Wendt

Elliott’s love of music began at a very young age, which is to say, roughly around the time he was born. After learning violin and piano, Elliott began his arranging career in high school, where he developed a love of vocal music that would grow into his profession as well as passion. Elliott finessed his a cappella career at Berklee College of Music, where he took the reins as music director for the school’s all­-male group, the CharlieChords. During his tenure, he brought them from modest beginnings to ultimately placing at 2015 Northeast ICCA­ Semifinals. After graduating, Elliott served as music director, arranger, and bass for the internationally acclaimed a cappella group The Nor’easters, most recently bringing them to their win at the 2017 ICCA Finals. Currently, Elliott continues to mentor and arrange for many groups in the Boston area and beyond.
